P.E.C.K
P.E.C.K. is our Parent Events Committee of Kitebrook. The purpose of this committee is to ensure communication and collaboration between staff and parents when organising Kitebrook School events.
The parents take part in regular meetings at school to support the staff in the organisation of our events. There are key roles including Chair, Treasurer and Secretary. In addition each class has a parent representative who communicates directly with the parents of their class whilst also organising class/parent based events such as a coffee morning to welcome new parents.
Current Projects
Our fundraising to restore Kitebrook's historic Walled Garden in memory of the school's founder, Anne McDermott, is continuing. Since 2015 PECk have spearheaded the dramatic transformation, and plans are continually being developed. The recent addition of a polytunnel has helped aid the children grow a range of plants, while plans for a sensory corner with aromatic herbs, barefoot walk and some musical instruments are now being implemented.
