We understand that for young people to thrive both inside and outside the classroom, they need to feel valued and fully supported by a strong pastoral care system.
This remains a key priority for us, overseen by our Assistant Head (Pastoral Care), Mrs Paget. From Pre-School through to Year 8, we empower each child to care for themselves and others, fostering a sense of respect and kindness.
We place a strong emphasis on mental health, equipping our pupils with the resilience to handle challenges and the courage to seek help when needed. Our small class sizes allow us to offer personalised care through a tailored and nurturing programme. Teachers, boarding staff, office staff, and Heads of Section are always available to support pupils. We also provide access to an in-house School Counsellor and a therapy dog for those who need an additional listening ear or a comforting presence.
Pastoral care works best when school and parents collaborate. We maintain regular communication with families and offer training courses for both staff and parents, ensuring a united approach to supporting our children.
