Children Rise to the Challenge for Charity Bake Sale

Two altruistic entrepreneurs at Kitebrook School have worked together to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society in a charity bake sale.

Year 5 pupils Eliza Mc. and Benji H. got their heads together to work on something close to their hearts, planning their event with absolute precision, with competition categories for each bake, designing winning certificates and running the stall with the rest of their form group. The sale made a fantastic £287.50, which was even used as counting practice in their maths lesson!

Charity Event Coordinator and Year 1 Teacher Miss Tudge said: “This pupil-led initiative has seen two of our children really shine with their ability to plan, organise and develop their idea and see it through to fruition. Their dedication and hard work has been particularly admirable and we are all so proud of their achievement for the Alzheimer’s Society.”
